While in the modern day Pink Panther movies, the bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau seems to stick to smaller ordinary cars, in the original 1969 cartoon series, he and his animated pink panther partner, always drove a sleek, futuristic-looking vehicle. Turns out, that the Panthermobile not only still exists, but is also, currently up for sale.

Thursday, August 18th, did not start out too well for Sebastian Russo. The Queens resident had just rushed into a pet store to run a quick errand leaving his two boys 7-year old John and 5-year old Robert and toy poodle Colette in the running car, when he was told by a fellow shopper that someone had driven off with it.

On Saturday, July 30th, an unidentified car enthusiast paid $308,000 USD for a one-of-a-kind 1939 Pontiac Deluxe Six at a car auction, held in Michigan. Dubbed 'Ghost' Car because of its transparent plexiglas exterior, it is the only see-through car known to exist.

Four-time World Rally champion Juha Kankkunen, has added another feather in his cap. On February 17th, the 51-year old Finnish driver, shattered the World Speed record, by pushing a Bentley Supersports Convertible to an astonishing 205.48 mph (330.695km/hr) for over a kilometer - on the frozen waters of the Baltic Sea off the coast of Finland.

On October 28th, two minivans arrived amidst much fanfare, to the World Expo in Shanghai, after completing an epic 8,000-mile (13,000 km) voyage across two continents in 92 days. What was so epic about the journey? Just the fact that it was the longest single trip ever made by autonomous or driverless vans.
